What is a contents pack-out?
A pack-out moves belongings out of the damaged area so they can be cleaned and kept out of the way while the structure is dried and repaired. Items that stay are covered and protected.
Can smoke-damaged furniture and electronics be saved?
Often, yes, depending on how close they were to the fire and what they’re made of. We pretest each item and choose a cleaning method that fits the material.
What happens to belongings that can’t be restored?
We photograph them for your insurer before anything is discarded, and we handle the disposal. Check with your adjuster before throwing anything away yourself, since the claim may need a record of each item.
Does insurance cover contents restoration?
Most homeowners and renters policies include personal property coverage, which can apply to cleaning or replacing damaged belongings. Check your policy for limits and exclusions. We work directly with your adjuster on the claim.
Why not clean smoke-damaged items at home?
