How fast can Clean Joe get to my home?

What should I do before your crew arrives?
If it is safe, shut off the water at the source and cut power to affected rooms at the breaker. Keep people and pets away from standing water or smoke, photograph what you can, and leave the rest to us.
Will my insurance cover the damage?
Most homeowner policies cover sudden and accidental damage, like a burst pipe or a house fire. Gradual leaks, flooding, and long-term mold are often excluded or limited. Your policy decides what’s covered, but we work directly with your insurance company, handle documentation, estimates, and adjuster communication, and help you understand what your policy covers.
How long does it take to dry out my home?
Most homes dry in about 3 to 5 days. Larger losses, water that sat for a while, or dense materials like hardwood, plaster, and concrete can take longer. Carpet can feel dry while the pad and subfloor underneath are still wet, so we take moisture readings every day and only remove our equipment once the readings confirm everything is dry.
Will the smoke smell come back after cleanup?
Not if the source is removed. Smoke works its way into drywall, insulation, carpet, and HVAC ductwork, so wiping down surfaces or covering the smell only hides it for a while. We clean soot from every affected surface, deodorize the materials smoke has soaked into, and remove anything that can’t be fully restored.
Will the mold come back after remediation?
Mold returns when the moisture feeding it isn’t fixed. Before we remove anything, we find the source, whether it’s a leak, poor ventilation, or water left from an earlier loss. Then we contain the area, remove the mold to IICRC standards, and make sure the moisture problem is addressed so the conditions that caused it are gone.
Can I upgrade materials during the rebuild?
Insurance pays to restore your home with materials of similar kind and quality to what you had. If you want something different, like a new flooring or cabinet style, you would likely cover the difference. Talk to your Clean Joe project manager before the rebuild starts so any changes can be discussed with your adjuster.
