Why are air movers and dehumidifiers used?

When water damage has occurred, water can be absorbed into drywall, baseboards, sub-flooring, etc. Drying these surfaces requires air movers and dehumidifiers for removing this excess moisture to help mitigate the property and create efficient drying conditions. Please do not turn off or move drying equipment without first calling our team.

How long will it take my property to dry?

Drying time is determined by a combination of factors, including the location, duration and source of water, the types of building materials, and how quickly emergency services begin. Your carpet may feel dry to the touch, but padding and subfloors may still be wet underneath. While there are no rules to determine how long your property will take to dry, we can tell you it may take between three and five days or more, depending on the conditions.

How do I know when my property is completely dry?

Proper testing with our specialized equipment is the correct way to determine if things are completely dry. Touch alone may be a false indicator.

My parents recently had a fire at their house and Clean Joe handled the contents disposal, interior demo, and smoke-related cleaning. Kevin was our project manager and was very easy to work with and responsive to questions, and really went the extra mile to get the house ready for the repairs process. Brian Stanley and the whole crew at Clean Joe were amazing! We had two separate floods and they both responded extremely quickly to put in fans and dehumidifiers, they also had Miguel come in and check for humidity in walls and floors. Afterwards, they had a crew come in and take out anything that had water damage and were extremely clean when they left. Another edition is that they also packed up and put together any belongings that were in the basement and covered them. I would absolutely use this company again, they were absolutely amazing and so professional.

We had a flex hose snap on our downstairs toilet while we were away on vacation. I called several well known vendors who were telling me it would be 2-3 weeks before they could even put eyes on the job. Clean Joe was there the same day I called and began the mitigation process the very next day. Brian Letourneau was my project manager. He was quick, responsive, and worked with me every step of the way to ensure exactly what I needed was done. Could not recommend this company enough, all their help was very much appreciated!!

This team was great to work with. Joe called me personally right away and sent George over to examine the project within an hour. We sadly had to use a fire extinguisher so we were required to close up for the day. George worked with his team to get everyone there quickly and we were opened up the next day. So these guys are fantastic; I had some mold in one area in my basement that I was concerned about and wanted to treat. I had one company come in and quote around 3k to perform a spray treatment and another 1k to clean the air, but I wanted to get a second opinion. I decided to call George Varelas over at Clean Joe to set up an appointment to provide a quote and remediation plan, I heard good things about them. George was professional, attentive, and understanding of what my needs were in this situation-he listened to the problem and put me in touch immediately with an expert who was kind enough to rearrange his schedule to come out and check the job out the very next day. When Brian L showed up he was actually 5 minutes early and when he entered, he treated my home like it was his own. He looked at the area in question and told me that it wasn’t actually anything to worry about and that although the area should be treated, that it would make more sense for me to treat it myself than to pay someone to do it; he explained the different types of mold and did so in a way that I can now understand the difference between what to look out for and what isn’t as bad as we think- he told me exactly what to do step by step in how to fix the mold I was dealing with in my sotuation! I’ve never had a sales rep try to talk his way away from a job but he was thinking more of what would be best for me in my situation rather than to hook another sale; that said a lot about his ethics as a professional and as a good guy. I would recommend these guys any time to anyone who needs an honest consultation from a company that actually cares. Thanks again to you Clean Joe’s, you helped me out of a bind.

My neighbors house caught on fire, a-lot of glass and debris was in my driveway and yard. my boss experienced a fire at his home, I was handed half a dozen business cards upon my arrival to the scene that evening (a cold Sunday night in October).
